The library has four public access computers available in our Computer Room. These computers can be used for word processing as well as accessing the Internet.

Guidelines for using the computers:

Patrons must have a valid Pioneer Library System card and have no outstanding charges. Your library card must be presented each time you wish to use the computer. Visitors to the area may use the computers upon showing some form of ID.
Patrons may sign up for one hour time periods. Reserving a time slot is highly recommended. The computer room will be shut down ten minutes before the library's closing time.
Users may not download materials onto the computers' hard drives. Formatted disks are for sale at the circulation desk.
Printing is available at the cost of $.10 a page.
Current staffing levels prevent the library from offering personal instruction in the use of the computers. However, the staff will try to provide assistance, if time permits.

Patrons using the computers and Internet are expected to:

Respect the privacy of others.
Respect the computer systems and not interfere with or disrupt network users, services, programs, software or equipment.
Respect the legal protection provided by the copyright and licenses to programs and data.
Use the computers and the Internet for lawful purposes.
Not transmit or access threatening, obscene (as defined by U.S.and local laws) or harassing materials.

Failure to abide by this policy may result in the denial of future Internet or computer use.

Wireless Access:
The library is also a Wi-Fi hotspot. The wireless network can be accessed using your own laptop and your OWWL card and PIN. Guest passes are available for visitors.

Computer Access
